Having been away on holiday for two weeks, I ventured into
-
Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr John May at the opening of the new Wilkinson store in Camberley
Camberley for the first time and see that there have been some changes in the
Mall ….. Buy the Book has moved from Cambridge Square to
Grace Reynolds Walk and next door to the book shop, Linens Direct has
opened. And in Obelisk Way Carpetmart Premier
Floors has opened next to Argos.
Cargo Home Shop, who sell furniture, homeware and accessories, has now opened
in Park Street
in the Atrium.
Wagamama, a chain of pan-Asian inspired noodle restaurants will also be opening
up a branch in the Atrium sometime before the end of the year. They are hoping
to open on 25th October according to their PR people.
The Mall has also gained several new stores recently; Supercuts opened on
August 12 and Wilkinson on August 23. Wilkinson was opened by the Mayor of
Surrey Heath Councillor John May. More new shops are also on the way for
The Mall. It’s been confirmed this week that Poundland will be opening soon in
the shopping centre.
Councillor Colin Dougan, Surrey Heath Borough Council’s corporate portfolio
holder says:
“This is fantastic news for Surrey Heath. Like all town centres across the
country Camberley has been affected by the economic down turn. These retailers
moving in, is a clear sign that the local economy is starting to thrive again.”
Let us know what you think of the new shops - review and rate them on Camberley People? What shops would you like to see coming to Camberley?
