Oracle has finally finished its takeover of Sun Microsystems.

The transaction was valued at approximately US$7.4 billion. The US had given permission for the takeover to go ahead, however it has only just been vetted by the EU.

Sun has six UK sites: at Camberley: the UK headquarters where there are several buildings that have lain unfinished for several years, Coventry, Linlithgow, London, Sale, and Watford.

What does this mean for local jobs? Will Oracle decide to expand their operation in Camberley or alternatively reduce it?
