BBC Surrey reports that Surrey Heath Borough Council had an

Al-Kharafi Islamic Centre
informal meeting on 29th July with the Bengali Welfare Association,
the owners of the Islamic Centre on the A30.
Cllr Moira Gibson, Surrey Heath Borough Council’s leader,"explore ways of mending relationships" after
the row over the planning application, for a new mosque to replace the existing
old school building currently used, escalated after the initial decision to
allow the plans was overturned because there were procedural errors made at the

ReportI really think that camberley people have too keep an eye on this, there seems to be a big influence in the council, for this too go ahead, i live quite close to the mosque, and i would be really upset, if this is allowed to take place... I really think we have too let the council know , that the residents and council tax payers are completely against any move by the mosque to rebuilt this area..... Surely somewhere else more appropriate can be found.... A high press coverage is essential. and we should not let the council pull the wool over our eyes.....

ReportI have read the report and would like to know more about the working party and what its aims are. Do you think there will be an appeal against the planning decision?
