Planning Application Withdrawn for New Camberley Football Centre

Have just received the following press release from Surrey Heath Borough Council :-

The planning application which proposed the creation of a football

centre on land at Krooner Park and Crabtree Park in Camberley has been

withdrawn by the applicant.

The application, which was included on agenda for the Planning

Applications Committee meeting on Monday 7th February 2011, will now not

be determined by the committee and there will be no debate in respect

of the item at the meeting.

The application has not been refused or deferred, but withdrawn prior to

its determination.

The council will take no further action with the application. Should any

new applications for this site be submitted we will notify local

residents.

It seems the planning application was withdrawn when the independent planners advised the council not to accept the application. The council usually does what it's planners advise. Rumour has it that a new plan will be submitted within the next few weeks and it will all start again!
