Official opening to come very soon!
in May this year after a fight has now been reopened. Last Friday 6th August the pub
opened its doors as the Duke of Clarence.
Rob Ayling, Greene King’s Regional Manager says the pub “has been
refurbished internally and externally to a high standard, with an aim to
providing a first class facility for the local community”. The pub was renamed after talks with the
local police and a local historian.
The Duke of Clarence was the title that William IV was known by before
he became king and so the new name of the pub is linked to the old.
If you have visited the new pub, let us know what you think of the refurbishment and the beer!!!
