Swim at the Camberley Arena on 3rd March 2012 and raise vital funds for the BHF
Nigel Tottman, a local British Heart Foundation (BHF) volunteer, has been organising and swimming in this sponsored swim at the Camberley Arena leisure centre for the past 11 years. This is a family event which has raised many thousands of pounds for the nation's heart charity. The 2011 swim total was a record £5400.
The British Heart Foundation celebrated its 50th year in 2011 and Camberley is one of 50 towns chosen by the British Heart Foundation to become a 'Heart Town'. The 'Heart Towns' initiative is all about mobilising communities across the UK to come together to help and prevent heart and circulatory disease. Record numbers of swimmers are anticipated in 2012, and The Camberley Swim would additionally welcome interest from local companies, groups and associations who may like to enter a team and compete with one another!
