Just thinking about the empty shops in Camberley, like Allders maybe, or Woolworths - wondering if/what we'll be getting next in our shopping centre...

Woolworths will be a Wilkinson in a couple of months (recruiting now!). Allders should probably be pulled down before another lump falls off - still a shame the Farmers City Market didn't work in there...

I know Wilkinson is coming to Camberley, but I am not sure they are going in Woolworths - I only say this because there is a Peacocks sign in the window and on the Peacocks website they say there is a store in Camberley at 6-10 Princess Way. Trying to find out from them more, but haven't heard yet. I also know that Cargo is recruiting for staff for a Camberley store! Watch this space!

The Peacocks sign appeared during Woolworth's death throes, it was part of a very short lived scheme to have Peacocks concessions in-store; http://tinyurl.com/2bux3eg

Thank you for that! It clears something up - I have tried very hard to get hold of people from both Peacocks and Wilkinsons to give some information, but it is proving very difficult! So it looks like Wilkinsons and Cargo are coming to Camberley then!

It is a shame about the farmers market not working at alders, the one in kensington high street is fantastic...... i would love to see a john lewis, or even a marks and spencers there.....lets not hope it is just bulldozed and flats put in place... we need to expand camberley into a up market shopping experience .. so that it will bring people into the town centre

I agree, the Farmers market was only here for a year but I still miss it, particularly since I hate Sainsbury's now. It is almost impossible to shop there without using the self-scan tills (which never work properly).

I hate those self service tills too - they drive me mad. Was in Sainsbury's the other day with a friend, which makes it so much more enjoyable - you have got some one to talk to rather than at a machine that ignores you!! We also got rid of all our annoying change in the machine. We plan to do it again when our purses are full of 1 and 2 penny pieces!!!

I too love the Kensington farmers market. I used to use the Farmers market in Camberley - it was great.

Self service tills are so annoying. Then again, I prefer buying food from a farmers market than a supermarket if at all possible.

Yes, self service tills - couldn't agree more. I always end up with something that won't scan.
