It is with real excitement that the Camberley Theatre announce that another celebrity has joined the cast in their Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.
-
Stephen De Martin will play Baron Hardup in Camberley Theatre's Pantomime "Cinderella"
-
Louise Lytton will be playing Cinderella
Stephen De Martin is to play the poor and paltry Baron Hardup, Cinderella's father. Stephen's face is easily recognisable as none other than one of the lovable Puffs, of 4 Poofs and a Piano fame; the jazzy barbershop quartet that never fails to give celebrities on BBC1's Jonathon Ross show a first class entrance. The 4 Poofs are now a household name and are famous in their own right. They are synonymous with their grand piano and deliciously camp quartet singing.
A little known fact about Stephen is that he is not just a TV talent. The singer, who hails from Sydney is an artist accomplished in his trade, working in cabaret and musicals for many years prior to his television break with the singing group and he has kept busy since; his most recent venture being his first solo album One Voice.
Playing the Baron's daughter, Cinderella, is star of EastEnders, The Bill and Strictly Come Dancing, Louisa Lytton. Alongside Louisa, the Director has lined up Camberley favourites Scott Burgess (last year's Abanazer) and Mark Slowey (last year's Widow Twankey) to play the parts of the riotous sisters so returning audiences will know to expect a show that will raise the roof with laughter!
The Camberley Theatre promises to bring a breathtaking production of the most exquisite kind to Camberley audiences this Christmas with what will be a truly stunning interpretation of timeless classic, proudly sponsored by The Lisa May Foundation. As with every year, the Camberley Theatre guarantees its audiences a totally unique pantomime which, unlike other leading regional theatres, is not duplicated anywhere else in the country. Follow your heart this year to watch one of the nation's favourite pantomimes and accept our invitation to the best ball in town!
Cinderella runs from Wednesday 7th December 2011 to Monday 2nd January 2012 and tickets are on sale now! For all enquiries and bookings please phone the Camberley Theatre Box Office on 01276 707600
