Man's body found on M3 motorway near Camberley

A MAN'S body has been found on the hard shoulder of the M3 motorway between Lightwater and Frimley.

Police closed the M3 motorway between Frimley and Lightwater after a man's body was found.
Police closed the motorway in both directions after receiving reports from several people at 1.30pm today (January 8) that a body had been seen at the side of eastbound carriageway.
An air ambulance landed at the scene but the man, believed to be in his forties, was declared dead a short time later.
The westbound carriageway of the M3 was fully reopened at 2.40pm and the eastbound carriageway fully reopened at 3.10pm.
The Maultway bridge over the motorway remains closed as enquiries into the incident continue.
