Camberley Judo Club fighter Lasha Lekishvilli won the British Junior Title at u66kgs on Saturday, after winning all eight of his fights.  Lasha had to dig deep and overcome some strong opposition in order to win the Gold medal, showing that his hard training is really paying off.

This result is a personal best for Lasha after winning Silver at the same event last year, and he is now aiming to compete at the Junior European and World Championships later this year.

Lasha said "I'm well happy! I want to thank all the Camberley Judo Club players for their support."

At the Senior British Championships the following day Nathon Burns won a well earned Silver Medal in the u66kg, winning 4 out of 5 fights.  Joshua Butler took a bronze medal at u100kg, whilst Frazer Chamberlain missed out on the medals but gained valuable experience at this level in the u90kg category.
