Crawley Ridge Junior School's Party in the Park this Saturday July 9th

This Saturday will see the fourth annual Party in the Park, held at Crawley Ridge Junior School in Camberley. The event is run by the school and is an opportunity for school based musicians as well as some outstanding local talent to perform in front of a relaxed audience in the beautiful grounds of the school. This is traditionally an excellent family day out where hundreds of folk come to relax with picnic blankets and listen to some great local bands intermingled with the children performing in their orchestras and choirs. Gates open at noon and Camberley Youth Wind Orchestra will be kicking off at 1pm with the children's choir and orchestra to follow. Performances this year will include the entire year 4 wider opportunities in music participants, Crawley Ridge Infant school, and the event will also feature performances from about ¾ of the children in the school and include music that has been arranged and evolved by the children themselves. After that we have special guests Andy Quin, a stunning pianist with chart topping albums in the UK, US & Europe; Phoenix Choir, a local choir singing a variety of contemporary music; High Society, a highly polished 20 piece swing band; and Black Velvet, an outstanding covers band who never fail to have the audience on their feet. The party takes place from 1-7pm (GU15 2 AJ) and is the perfect venue for families to come and relax, have a picnic and a drink and while away the hours to wonderful live music. There will be a BBQ, ice cream stand and bar available for most of the afternoon although families are invited to bring their own food and drink.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £4 for children between 3-16 (or £20 for a family ticket) and are available on the gate. If you would like to bring gazebos please contact the school first on 01276 61144. We here at Crawley Ridge all look forward to seeing you there!
