Citizens Advice Bureau in Camberley gets £70,000 council grant

CAMBERLEY'S Citizens Advice Bureau is among voluntary groups across Surrey Heath to benefit from new grant funding.
More than £150,000 is to be handed to organisations for 2013-14 following a decision by Surrey Heath Borough Council.
The advice bureau in Knoll Road, Camberley, will get £70,109 while Voluntary Support North Surrey, which also operates in Knoll Road, gets nearly £25,000.
Other organisations supported include Surrey Heath Sports Council and the Basingstoke Canal Authority.
Cllr Liane Gibson, corporate portfolio holder for Surrey Heath, said: "We value the work of the voluntary organisations that provide vital services to those needing a little help in their daily lives.
"The council does not have an endless pot of resources from which to make grants but it is always good to recognise valuable work in Surrey Heath when we can."
The grants made were:
Camberley Citizens Advice Bureau: £70,109
Voluntary Support North Surrey: £24,970
The Butts, Bisley: £15,000
Tringhams, West End: £15,000
Age Concern Surrey Heath: £10,000
Basingstoke Canal Authority: £10,000
Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership: £10,000
Surrey Heath Sports Council: £3,500
