Caring Joanne joins Home Instead

At-home care company, Home Instead Senior Care in Ascot is delighted to announce the appointment of new Care Manager, Joanne Gullon.

Joanne joins Home Instead with an undeniably impressive background in the care sector. In total, Joanne has 17 years of experience caring for others, including caring for adults and those with physical disabilities. Joanne has also worked in social services domiciliary care and most recently providing care for the elderly in residential and nursing care homes.

When Joanne heard about Home Instead in the local news, she knew it was the career move she had been looking for. Home Instead's approach makes it stand out from the rest as it focuses on providing excellent quality care for the elderly in their own homes. After speaking with Maggie Martin, owner of the office which provides services across Ascot, Camberley and Wokingham, Joanne applied and was appointed as the new Care Manager. 

Her new role includes responsibility for recruiting and training caregivers, and matching caregivers to clients on their interests and personalities in order to provide clients with a tailored and personal service.

Joanne commented, "I love my new role at Home Instead. Their ethos differs from many other care companies, particularly as our visits are a minimum of one hour. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to promote independence and meet our elderly clients' wishes to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Sometimes it is the simplest things such as providing a hot meal that make a huge difference to the lives of elderly people. Being able to provide that care is really satisfying."
