Camberley Judo Club, sponsored by the charity Surrey Going for Gold, has announced the date of its annual "Judo Ashes" event.

The black tie gala dinner will be held at Pennyhill Park Hotel on Thursday 1st March 2012, and will see Camberley's Olympic judo hopefuls take on their German counterparts.  It promises to be a spectacular evening, with a champagne reception and four course meal, as well as all the judo action.  Special accommodation rates are also available at Pennyhill Park Hotel subject to availability.

The charity is also appealing to local businesses to donate raffle prizes for the event.  More information can be found on the Camberley Judo Club website.

Please could Sophie and other contributors learn how to use apostrophes in the word "its" correctly? Basically the apostrophe is used as a substitute for the word "is", i.e. it's a cold day = it is a cold day. When "its" is used in a possessive sense, i.e. "its annual judo ashes event" THERE IS NO APOSTROPHE (i.e. "it is annual judo event" would not make sense). Don't they teach grammar in schools any more, Mr Gove?
