BERNARD Cribbins was in Camberley yesterday as part of an appeal to help elderly people get through the winter.
Bernard Cribbins was in Camberley for Community Foundation for Surrey's Surviving Winter campaign.
The children's television presenter was at Surrey Heath Age Concern Tea Rooms in Princess Way on Monday (December 3) for Community Foundation for Surrey's Surviving Winter campaign.
The Foundation is raising funds for community and voluntary groups supporting older people in the county to reduce isolation and vulnerability.
The charity is appealing to people to donate their Winter Fuel allowance from the government.
Mr Cribbins said: "I am 100 per cent behind the campaign and delighted to be supporting it. I am going to donate my winter fuel allowance to support others in Surrey that need additional help during the winter. I encourage others who don't need their allowance to do the same."
Professor Patrick Dowling, Chairman of the Community Foundation for Surrey, said: "We are delighted that Bernard Cribbins is supporting the campaign again this year and I hope this will inspire others to donate to the Surviving Winter appeal.
"Money raised from the campaign will be awarded as grants to local community and voluntary groups who are dedicated to supporting older people. Please support the campaign and help older people survive this winter."
